Have been running an ad in a local newspaper,
"Buying casino chips from any and all casino's, Call Jim at....". Well first this lady calls and say's she has a casino chip from the Hotel Freemont Casino from 1965, Would I be interested?
Well does a duck bark? Of course I am interested. Turns out it is a metal gaming token, reedemable only by players and only at the Freemont. Does have the date stamped on it as 1965. Gave her four bucks for it, don't know why.
Then she say's she has this silver dollar from the Aladdin. Gave her 6 bucks for this, again I don't know why. But what is this thing?
It is about twice the size of a silver dollar, and pretty darned heavy. Stamped as Aladdin Bicentennial Hotel of the Year 1776 - 1976, Tower of Magesty pure silver .999 Fine, Grand Opening June 1976.
Has a Red ribbon attatched and comes in a blue velvet box with a certificate calling it a commemorative medallion ( Guess that answers the question of what is it ) limited to 5000 strikes.
So tell me, what do I have here, and what do I do with it.
She called today to say she forgot to tell me she has some old ashtrays from Vegas, I think she said one is from the Hilton International.
Should I make an offer? Heck, I was just looking for a few good chips.
