Jewlery too? Agreement better indicate an "out"...

Not really that big of deal, but I didn't recall seeing the FedEx page indicating "jewlery" could not be insured??? Just re-reviewed that page and still do not see that...

I should probably count my blessings that I never lost an expensive chip via UPS. I know that your page was referring to FexEd but I think my next statement applies to any shipping company...

Let's say I sign a shipping agreement and pay for insurance. Let's say on that agrement, I describe the item in a very detailed fashion (i.e., Collectible: Hard Rock Cinco de Mayo, Year 2000, $25 Casino Chip). Let's say that the agreement did not list "prohibited items" and/or did not specifically indicate my item was prohibited. The clerk takes my money, takes my package and gives me a copy of the signed documents. Did we not complete a legal and binding agreement?

I don't see how any company can accept money for a service then not fullfill their part of the bargin. Maybe I live in a fantasy world, but if I sign an agreement with a company, it better specifically indicate an "out" for them if something happens. Otherwise, I would be looking for file a case in small claims to recoup my loss.
