That was the point of the post. (and the article I linked to) While their "prohibited items" does list cash, coin, jewlery Etc. it can't list everything they don't insure.

I think that in general FedEx will refuse to pay on anything of this realm.

I wrote an email to UPS this morning and asked for a specific answer on collectibles, with reference to casino chips and tokens. If I get an answer or a link to their FAQ, I'll post it here.
