They will gladly insure & take your money. But try to collect! UPS sucks! They are always late & the will leave your package with anyone & you wont get it.
I have mailed tons with USPS & now feel very lucky that only a few have been lost. I have received packages cut wide open too with contents gone & you would think mail carrier would mark them damaged or something but then I guess if they pretend they didn't notice they can't be questioned as nothing was ever wrong. I asked him but of course that day someone new was delivering & I never heard anything. Trying to reach SF lost & found is impossible.
