are chips really "considered numismatic items"???

Maybe this is a dumb question but would the answer be "yes" to this question??? I never really thought of chips issued by a private casino as numismatic item. I don't consider casino chips as legal tender and not really money. I rather think of chips as gambling equipment issued by a casino or private club. As a result, I would have answered "no" to this question if asked.

I was not asked this question when I shipped my chips and they didn't seem to care that I was shipping a casino chip and we discussed specifically that this chip was worth $1900 because it was a collectible...
