The difference might be because I went to "MailBoxes Etc." and shipped it via UPS through them??? I would be interested in knowing what reason your contact person would have said no and why they treat these collectables different than others??? At any case, I've done it more than once via UPS.

They were quite surpised that some casino chips were worth so much and never indicated that shipping casino chips and insuring them over thier face value was a problem. Asking for insurance for a $1900 casino chip seemed to draw some interest. lol.
