Just some interesting info.

From what I understand one of the producers of the show is a Van Patten. Then theres Vince whoes obviously is a Van Patten. And the theres Shawna Hyatt(Not sure on the spelling), shes married to a Van Patten. So I think their keeping it in the family. So the try and justify Vince's creditials.
