How did you fix the warp? Clearly there is a right way and a wrong way to do it.

I found the wrong way. I tried to fix this chip from the Double Eagle (Jackson, CA) and the results were a disaster. You can see the hairline crack running across the bottom of the chip. The crack does not go all the way through but it sure ruins the chip.
