Seems interesting to me that the only industry that is doing well in California is the one that isn't subject to any State tax (The Indian Casinos.) All other large employers are moving out of state due to the high workman's compensation fees, state and local taxes, and all the other regulations being assessed to large companies.
Companies lose money, employees get fired, unemployment compensation go up (that is until they run out and then for some unknown reason those unemployed persons get some sort of jobs immediately.)
