I agree, but getting the category made (by Ebay)is only half the battle. There is little to no mechanism to get the chips in the category. When you create the auction you can pick the category and (for a price) even a second category.

If they create a homegame chips category (and I agree with this to the point I have already sent an email) and noone comes to it, then the auctioners will move back to where they get exposure.

I have been able to pick up some pretty good deals on items where they were incorrectly categorized. I see them either because I am browsing the other category or more likely that I have a search set up and start the search at a high enough level that it picks up the subordinate entries (such as starting in "collectibles" picks up chips, strikes, coins, post cards, etc.).

I have the search sent to me each morning. 99 of 100 times its the same stuff over and over again. But every once in a while there is something that I am interested in.
