Saw an article in the paper last night that many insuarnce companies have a different deductable amount for damage from storms. A homeowner who has a normal $250 or $500 deductable would have one for storm damage that could reach 15% of the claim amount. That's $30000 on a $200000 home at total loss. Are the insurance companies connected to the oil companies - they both seem to be doing some gouging.
