I gotta be honest with both of you... I really don't find the seller's description to be all that heinous. Sure, the FIRST scan is pretty dark (maybe intentionally so), but the second scan, if you bother to click on it, clearly shows that this is a HAT AND CANE chip. The language is also a bit tricky... "This is a classic example of what the beautiful, old chips used to look like!" It doesn't explicitly claim that it's an old chip, just that it's representative of an older look.
Now, I agree that this auction is on the edge of unethical, but really it's tough to point a finger at any phrase or scan that would indicate a questionable motive. At some point it is the BUYER'S responsibility to know what they're bidding on. That said, of course, I don't like the result of this auction one bit... it's a chip that should be available for 3 bucks at the most from any reputable dealer.
