Caesars frequently uses NCV's even after the expiration date. The 100 they were giving out as recently as last year had expired long ago. And of course, playing it on the tables is almost as good as redeeming it at the cage.

My guess is they drill them when they are REALLY not going to allow them to be played any more... probably when they have made a new design to replace it.
