My advise is check to make sure the company can insure you in CA. Some claim to be licensed for this specialty insurance & are not. Beware of one many seem to use that even has advertised in our club news. Collectors Insurance Agency. Better to call the insurance commissioner & find out. They were not licensed & could not practice in Nevada when I checked 2 years ago but were willing to sell me a policy. A friend says he was paid on a claim though in Nevada. Some use this for mailing insurance & skip the post office insurance.
Farmers insures to like $60,000 for stuff in house including collectibles. Earthquake insurance is more.
I think a real good safe & a trained Doberman to watch it is the best!!!
