Todd; This souvenir medallion was a promotional prize item that was given away to drive in customers at the Taj.

The "Money Machine" was located directly accross from the former promotions booth upstairs, next to Shabarrows pizza (spelling?) just down from Harley Davidson. Drive-in customers picked a letter on the money machine that spelled T A J M A H A L and won a prize that was inside of a sealed pop-top canister. Prizes ranged from hats to tee shirts to complimentary dinners for two at the Bengal Club ... or a key chain .... or the millennium medallion that you are referring to.

The medallion is listed and illustrated in my A.C. Catalog as M TAJ-0 and it's estimated value is $10-$15.

I do not refer to this item as a token, as it is not redeemable for any goods or services ... which is the standard definition of a "token".
