Actually you didn't. You used the tired old "everyone is entitled to their opinion" line.

While I agree that you are entitled to your opinion, the fact that it is your opinion does not make it valid.

You are entitled to be of the opinion that the earth is flat, but the fact that you are entitled to believe that would not make the earth flat.
