Charles is correct. When they cancel these chips, they don't have laserlike precision in cutting the notches. As far as the crispness of the lettering goes, it may be due to the original printing quality of the inlay or the scanner settings when the chip was scanned. The edges are probably due to the scanner too. Realistically, how much play could a $25,000 chip have seen between the time the Venetian opened and now? Just my opinion.
