Thanks Mark.
I've been looking fot TT in all the wrong places for some time now. I was told he went to LV in 1953. Never gave a thought to looking anywhere else.
He sold an illegal casino in Ketchum ID in 1953. I talked to the lady that bought it from him.
Guess what? The name of the place was The Alpine Club. I have articles and pictures of Ernest Hemmingway talking about playing roulette and slots in the place in the late 1930's. It was his favorite place to eat and gamble.
The gambling ended when TT sold it.
I have the chips used there. There was 8 colors of roulettes and denominated chips. Now I am wondering if they are the chips used to open the Alpine in Ely.
The Ketchum and Sun Valley newspapers are going to run an article I am writing on the place and its chips. Hopefully it will turn up some old timers with information.
Hopefully there is a paper in Ely, I can get to run it also.
