Tim was a "special" student. I had had a good relationship with him when he was an UG student, Rhodes Scholar finalist (he lost out to a brilliant SU UG lad who also went on to be a lawyer--Harvard), All American football player. I was a member of our Career Panel for athletes and helped him with his search for agents (but that's another story). When he applied to law school I was Acting Dean and admitted him though he could not attend except in the Spring semesters. He took some of his work at Cardozo and the rest here. Because I had admitted him, my beloved colleagues compelled me to hold a special legal research and writing seminar for him--all alone. He calls me from time to time with questions about the legality of certain procedures he wants his heroes or anti-heroes to follow. So yes, tis me.
