There was a dealer on ebay about a year ago that had access to all the chip of Caro & fils. C&F was a french distributor to Europe and the mid-east of Clay, MOP and ivory chips and jetons.
I guess the place went belly up. I won several auctions that had these chips. In the same auction was plain mold inlaid chips (on my website). These chips were not the type I collect.
I can say that maybe 2 to 4 of each of these chips were sold in various auctions. Besides the Caro collection, I have never seen these chips. I would bet that these are the only known surviving chips. They never were delivered to the casino, hence there is no wear. The chips that made it to the casino were probably blown to pieces in that war ravaged land.
Syrian and Lebanon are not hot spots for chip collecting. However they are rare.
If they were plain molds they would not be up for sale.
