I'm not in the northeast but my husband was at JFK about to go through security when the blackout hit. So far as I know now, the terminal has been closed and he's stuck outside. Of course, cell phones aren't working very well so we're relaying messages through 2 other people (his co-workers, one of whom is also stranded at JKF) to try to figure out what's going on.

We're hoping they'll find a place to spend the night instead of sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the American terminal at the airport.

And to think, I could have gone with him on this trip.
