Thanks Roy, you are coming up with some great pictures.
All those little nuggets (your words) only pop out when someone spurs my memory. If I tried to write them down, forget about it.
I spent many nights at the Little Club in the 1960's. They had great entertainment and food. Many of their customers were the "boys" that ran Covington and Newport. I spent many other nights playing poker with those same "boys." Some of their conversations stuck in the old gray matter. But some is just gone. One other perk was knowing them got me the best treatment the LH could give. Yes Mr Trimble, I will leave your car right up front, There was NO lines for anything if you were even thought to know the "boys." It was great times. All history now. I think about Martin Miller quite often. He was a true friend to me and my wife.
I just spent 3 days in Covington. Stopped and saw Larry Trapp. Then spent a night playing poker where I played for many years. There are still a few there from the older days. We had many storys told many times before, to rehash. Seems to me the stories got bigger than the last time I heard them. Had a good time while I beat them out of $137.
