You are correct - over 100 degrees for the first time in 130 years since they started recording the stats! The record was only a few miles from me, and I was working landscaping the garden all weekend - probably lost several pounds, so not all bad!

I went to our builders warehouse yesterday and ALL fans and AC units have been sold. As you said, most homes here don;t have (don't need, usually ) AC, and so I've been going for lots of drives in the car which does have AC.

One accident though - left a chip in a plastic flip in the car, and the chip is fine, but the flip melted around it!

Ah well - looking forward to winter so I can complain about the cold weather!
