I think it would be interesting to see a study of chip prices throughout the year. I think lots of folks sell to get money to pay for their convention expenses and purchases, causing a buyer's market on eBay in the months before and after the convention. Of course that theory could be blown out of the water by the opposing theory that people are more fired-up about acquiring new chips around convention time.
