My position is that "The Strip" ends at Circus Circus or that area. (Sahara) Yes, I have visited the Strat when I drove a friend to Western Union to get some more money wired to him. Best bet I made was lending money to friends in Las Vegas, I knew I couldn't get to it, to lose and I knew I'd see them at bowling, every week.

The map is pretty, but how far is it, on the street from Circus Circus to the Stratosphere? Would you walk there on a nice Moonlit night, or how about a dark night?

I conceded that it's closer to only one mile from the Strat to Circus Circus, door to door. One of the locals can do an Odo run and pin it down. 2000 Las Vegas Blvd. S to 2880 LVB S. or about 9 blocks.

I could also be wrong if those nine blocks have changed...

Going for ice cream East of Fitzgerald's can get kind of spooky. I don't know if I've ever walked to the Cortez? (not that I'm a big chicken, but just never had the urge)

I did walk from Excalibur in Reno (Sparks) back to the MGM Grand, at Midnight. Nice night, I was tapped out. I won't suggest that to others. lol
