First off, Ralph Myers has the correct numbers of "current, active membership". Ralph is away at work today, but I am sure that he will post the current membership number and probably the approximate "active membership" quantity when he gets home.
However, I belive that C.T.'s approximation is an older value and is not reflective of the current state. If I had to make a guess, It would be around 2,800 active members, but that is just a guess.
I would also have to say that the differential of 300 is not all that much, but as a Club we are still heading in the growth direction. Can we do more to stem attrition? Probably. Can we do more to solicit membership? Probably.
However, in the absence of a "recruitment" director (or chair) and an organized retention program, I think that we are sailing along fine.
I would hope however that we could steam along much better, any suggestions as to how?
