Doug, when you say "illegal," you're not talking about a well-run, fancy home game, are you? It was my understanding that someone could set up such a game and invite people to play. I thought that in Texas it would not be illegal so long as the host (the "house") was not taking a cut, like a rake from each pot.
My understanding is that many professional poker players (Brunson, Wolford, et al.) ran such games in Texas, and that they are not illegal.
Am I wrong? (I've been known to be!)
