Last May, I finally had a location for the Neon Graveyard off Las Vegas Blvd. After driving around and missing the street, we finally found it. Of course, it was locked up. I asked my husband to pull over near the fence because all I could hear was a barking dog that sounded very close and I wanted to be able to get into the car fast if needed. I could see the signs through the slats in the fence, but being barely 5'3" tall, I was at a definite advantage. So I climbed up the fence and pointed the camera where I thought a sign might be. I did this several times along the fence at both lots, with my husband staying close with the car at my urging (and undoubtedly shaking his head and muttering) with that blasted barking dog that I couldn't see (but afraid would come charging at any moment). I'm very thankful no one saw me because I must have been quite a sight hanging from a fence I shouldn't have been climbing in the first place. At my age, I should definitely know better. Of course I did have a few scratches and come October, hope to see the place with both feet on the ground. Then there was the time I wanted to find the ghost town called Johnnie, but that's another adventure...
