I visited my favorite poker room last night and got the confirmation that was inevitable. They are closing on 09/02 (if they make it that far).

I heard a few theories as to why, but the consensus was that the tribal elders have wanted to do this for some time and finally found a few small reasons (poor poker room management) to make the move.

It is unfortunate. It is an EXCELLENT poker room!!! Totally enclosed, smoke free, many tables and almost always good games.

Oh well..........hello Foxwood (and the longer ride and the much worse parking and poker room access, and the inferior poker room and dealers) . It is actually a decent poker room, but just not as good as Mohegan.

I sorted through a few racks of turtles and pulled out the best ones I could find. From what I've been told, these chips will not be used anywhere else in the casino after the poker room closes. If anyone wants to trade some $1's for these $3's...let me know.
