Can someone please explain to me why the Indiana Gaming Commission objected to Argosy being used on the chips? Ok I understand that isn't their legal name but most if not all casinos operate with a corporate name then they have a d/b/a (Doing Business As) name. All of the casinos in Atlantic City have corporate names (see below) but operate using a d/b/a. Now if the owners of the Argosy registered a doing business as name then I don't see why they can't use the Argosy name.

Shown below are the current legal business names and the names that appear on the casino licenses for all of the casino/hotels currently operating in Atlantic City.

* Adamar of New Jersey, Inc. - Doing Business As 'Tropicana Casino and Resort'.

* Atlantic City Showboat, Inc. - Doing Business As 'Showboat Hotel/Casino'

* Bally's Park Place, Inc. - Doing Business As 'Bally's Atlantic City'

* Boardwalk Regency, Inc. - Doing Business As 'Caesars Atlantic City'.

* GNOC Corp. - Doing Business as 'Atlantic City Hilton'.

* Greate Bay Casinos & Hotels, Inc. - Doing Business As 'Sands Hotel/Casino'.

* Marina Associates, Inc. - Doing Business As 'Harrah's Atlantic City'.

* Marina District Development Corporation, L.L.C. - Doing Business as 'The Borgata Hotel/Casino and Spa'.

* Plaza Associates, Inc. - Doing Business As 'Trump Plaza Hotel/Casino'.

* Resorts International Hotels - Doing Business As 'Resorts Atlantic City'.

* Taj Mahal Associates - Doing Business as 'Trump Taj Mahal Hotel/Casino'.

* Trump's Castle Associates - Doing Business As 'Trump Marina Hotel/Casino'.

By the Indiana Gaming Commission's logic all of these Atlantic City casinos if they were in Indiana would have to be called by their corporate names so for example the Tropicana could never be called the Tropicana it would have to be Adamar etc. Do you all see what I am getting at?
