I have posted previously about my Grand Father having an illegal operation or two in central Illinois (Springfield).
In that post I mentioned yellow, T-Mold chips with a script hot-stamp of "TCL" which stood for Tull C. Lasswell, that were given to me by a family member, along with a damaged box.
After getting the yellows chips, I sent off for Taylor Mold records from Howdy. Those records showed two additional colors.
Well, another family member has now sent me chips, which includes the other two colors (a black and a red (or scarlet)). He also sent a yellow (not knowing that I already had one) and the one he sent must have been exposed to light over the years, because it is a pale yellow versus mustard of the example I already have.
In any event, it is nice to have all three, as shown below. As I stated in my previous post, I have not verified that these are from an illegal operation that actually opened. I know that they were for a place (The Capital Club) that was a week away from opening, but he died of a heart attack in that week before. The Club never opened, but he did have illegal places prior to that, in and around Springfield. The Melody Bar being one of them, and I have a die from there, but no chips, unless these were also used there.
Thanks for taking a look.
