Today my wife asked me The Big Question...
(no, not "Do I look fat in this dress?")
We were discussing writing our will(s) and she asked me what I planned to do with my chips if I died. At first I said "take them with me", but then I realized the impracticality of that (and how selfish it would be to have them buried with me).
Actually, I said I might will them to the club or one or more of my chipping friends. Naturally, this got a raised-eyebrow and a "You mean you've spent hundreds of OUR dollars on these chips and you're going to GIVE them away if you kick-the-bucket? Think again, buster." look.
I just sort of let it go unanswered, but after reading Archie's posts below about being "custodians" of our chips, it got my curiosity up... I'd love to hear what all of YOUR plans are for your collections.
Will you allow them to be broken-up and sold by your estate? Do you have an heir that will treasure them as much as you do? If neither of the above, would you will them to the club or another chipper(s)?
Just an interesting question with (I'm sure) even more interesting answers.
