Also, effective July 1st, NJ Governor McGreevey has raised the parking fee from $2 to $3 ... in an effort to balance the state budget and as a result many casinos are now charging $4 (Trump Properties) $5 at Caesars and $10 at Sands. Several casinos such as Harrah's and Showboat no longer recognize platinum cards for free parking.
Borgata was waving cars through their toll booths during their first two days they were open in an effort to relieve the tremendous backlog of cars exiting the parking garage ... sometime up to 45 minute wait to get out. Borgata now charges $3 per car to park.
