I keep most of my chips in a safe that has a decent fire rating at home. My business was mostly gutted by a fire in 1980, and I've been a little more aware of taking precautions ever since. A good safe is a one-time investment that you hope you never need to find out just how good it is, and much better than worrying about stuff that is unprotected in case of a disaster.
As to an emergency evacuation, it'd be my laptop, my Nikes and Harry and Sally, my finches.
