Gene, AC is one of the conforts that I don't care to go without. I just don't want to overpay for something or to expend money for something that will cost me more in the short run--so the question was to get the air fixed or to get another car. The final answer is that I am going to do what Bob suggested and take it to a diagnistic center to see get an unbiased opinion.

The weather in Sacramento is similiar to that in Las Vegas and unbearable without the AC.
