I hadn't heard of the uncertainty surrounding these chips before the convention, but it seems strange that with all of the collective knowledge and resources available to the members of this club that we can't concretely establish something as recent as 1973.
Forgive my ignorance, but do we think the chips are the only thing that ever carried the Holiday Queen name? Were they delivered to the same address? Have any other Holiday Queen items surfaced?
What about the exterior signage for that time period? Surely there are plenty of photographs to document changes in the signage if there were any. And possibly newspaper articles to document changes in ownership, opening, etc. What about Gaming Control records?
Could it be somebody else operated it for a short time before the Williams took over, and they used the same chips for a time?
I'm sorry if this has been beat to death and I missed it....I'll go search the archives now...
