I don't think the issue is whether anyone likes the way they look or not. I am sure many do like the look. Hell, even I think the pictures are cool. The problem is once they get out, there will be some dishonest hucksters who will pass them off as being the real deal.

Maybe not so much the ones in your scan (but even these will show up somewhere as "from the Sands"), but the ones that Michael Knapp posted. There could be many novice collectors who think those chips with the girl and the hourglass or the Dunes with the sultan are legit chips.

That, in my opinion, is the heart of the matter with these.
