I got an email from Burt B yesterday asking me to defent him here that he was honest and pays for chips on time. Below was my email response to him.I had to use the letter $ for the sake of the board.

Burt,

Yes, You paid on time with me. Thats the only positive thing I can say about my dealings with you. You want honest?? Here is honest. You paid me on time. However, selling that chip to you was a royal pain in the ass. Lets review how our interaction went, shall we?

To start with, you contacted me to try to sell me the Monoco chips. I informed you that I had quite a few myself which my uncle had sent me quite a while ago. Next, you emailed me again asking if i wanted to acquire more of the Monoco chips in trade becuase there were chips on my list that you wanted. I emailed you back again and said i didnt need any more of those chips at all.

Next, you emailed me stating that you wanted a $5.00 Hickok chip and asked me how much I wanted for it. You had sent 3 emails before I was able to get back to you within just 2 hours. When I emailed you back, I told you $7.50 for the chip and $1.00 for the shipping. You answered me back and TOLD me ( not asked) you would give me $8.00 total. In a matter of the next 5 hours, you sent me 8 emails asking again and again about the chip. Telling me how much you wanted the chip and again that you would be willing to only give me $8.00. You never waited for a reply in a timely manner, but instead emailed me over and over. When I opened my email box after work I read them. I responded to you simply by telling you again that the price was $7.50, which was extrememly fair (the chip was selling for $10-$12.00 at the convention) and the $1.00 shipping was also fair, since i use new bubble mailers which are 40 cents and the 60 cents postage. I told you if you wanted to save on postage i would be willing to bring the chip with me. You emailed me back two more times saying you would send the money.

At this point I awaited your check. I recieved your check and sent the chip out the same day. A couple days later a got a nasty email from you telling me how you paid for the chip and still hadnt recieved the chip. You said i didnt send the chip even though you paid. You talked about how it looks like you were getting ripped off again. I took great offense to this. Let me repeat...I Took Great Offense To This! I responded back to you that i was sorry that the post office didnt deliver things in the timley fashion that you expect.

I did get an email from you a few days after that stating you recieved the chip and were pleased with it. Of coiurse no apology for implying i was ripping you off. No apology for the constant bombartment of emails.

Bottom line, Burt....I wont do any more selling or trading with you. Its just not worth the aggrivation. I dont have time to be dealing with dozens of emails over one chip. I dont expect a version of lets make a deal. I had answered you back with the price and you again kept going at it to try to knock it down 50 cents...and i DO NOT have to tolerate you implying i was ripping you off because you didnt get your chip fast enough.

Let me give you some words of advice.

Dont expect people to answer your email within 5 minutes.
Dont email them over and over and over..people may have lives other then their email.
If you would like to offer a lower price then what they stated..ASK if they will sell it for less. Dont be so arrogant to tell them what you'll give them.
Do not imply to them that they are ripping you off just because you didnt recieve the chip in 3 days.

So, Burt, perhaps you dont want me coming to your defense on the chipboard. Maybe you'll want to just call me an a$$hole next like you did with the others. Thats fine. But maybe you should do some soul searching and try to figure out why you have alientated so many people so quickly.
