I agree with everything Steve said. I'm certain that the visuals encouraged action in the auction and I'm just a sure that they held everyone's concentration, at the same time diverting attention from Kruse's puss, which can only be a plus.
Next year, I would suggest that you hand out 3-D glasses and at the start of each lot you could have a giant visual of the chips come spinning out to a spot right in front of our faces. Add a little cash register sound after each bid, and you got something.
