Thanks Will.
Like most people I started by coming home from casinos with the stray $1 chip in my pocket. Those new Atlantic City casinos were only a 2hr drive from home. After noticing that Atlantic City casinos didn't really mind high school kids shooting craps, I went more frequently and the jar of chips grew.
I then moved to Colorado Springs and soon found Cripple Creek (after driving right down and through the main drag and realizing that I must have passed those 30some casinos!). I also made a trip ot three to Las Vegas.
As luck would have it I'm now in the Florida panhandle and find myself again 2hrs away from Biloxi. In fact I'm staying at The Grand Friday and Saturday nights.
As luck would have it I got re-interested in my chip collection 2 weeks ago -- right about the same time all these on-line "chippers" were packing up and heading to some convention in Las Vegas. So few people were around to trade with, but I did make my first few trades with Steven Parker, Al Whiting, and Lance Robertson - great chips and now I'm hooked.
I'm sure everyone here has somewhat similar stories. Will's Chip Junkie site was a wealth of information and I'm still learning. I'm sure I'll get a chipper lesson or two tonight, but I'm guessing I'll get a poker lesson too at his home game.
Anyway, that's my story. My web page can only improve with time. After all, I've only been doing this on-line stuff for 2 weeks now! Oh yeah, I do have August 16th circled on my calendar to join the Deep South chippers at the Copa next month. Thanks for the warm welcome, helpful tips, and especially the trades!
