I'm not surprised about the attached note. Harvey always told me to write down as much info on a chip that I could gather. We did a lot of trading together and he was very generous in his trades with me. He seemed to always have a note with the chips he sent me, usually scolled on the back of a Keno ticket from anywhere and the chips were always wrapped in cigarette cellophane wrapper closed by an old rusty paper clip.
