I recently bought a few banknotes off of eBay and the seller did not take paypal so my only other option was a personal check. I write checks from my Quicken program where it puts the address on the check and then I use windowed envelopes. I had emailed the seller inquiring about combined shipping after the auction and he never responded. I sent payment the next day after the auction and waited 15 days. I emailed today and he said he never got the check. I checked and it cleared my bank. I emailed hin a copy of the check and he said he never cashed it.
1. The address is correct.
2. It is HIS name on the Payee line.
3. Money was taken OUT of my account.

He has seen the check and denies depositing it. What are my options? I DO WANT THE NOTES that I bought from him (I may have to pay twice). I did initiate a trace on where the money went. UPSIDE it only $18!!

Why do sellers get so sloppy with their records??
