Siena Win Cards chip

I don't know what corrupted my previous post. Greg?

A couple of weeks ago I went to the Siena to sign my wife and I up for win cards to get my first 30 chips. I was a bit confused when they brought out 6 of these "1" NCV chips for my $20. The cashier insisted that, contrary to the number on the chip, they were worth $5 each at the tables. I talked to two dealers and confirmed that was the deal.

Needless to say, I wasn't happy. I knew the $1 collectors wouldn't be happy paying $8 each (or more) for a chip with a 1 on it. Siena logs everything in your player tracking file. They know exactly how many duplicate slot cards they've issued me. I know without asking that the rule "one per person" will be strictly enforced on this promotion.

And it didn't seem to be in the spirit of Win Cards at all. Isn't the idea to let you get a taste of some of the games? How do I spread 3 chips around on the craps table? So I called the Win Cards people. They weren't happy with the idea either. Within a few days my 6 chips I paid $20 for were worth $6 in play after all. Such a deal!

OK, so I get a few friends to sign up, and I finally have some chips to sell. I'll bring them to the convention. If you won't be at the convention, or miss me while you're there, email me. Note that I won't have any time to mail out chips before the convention.

Siena was supposed to be good for Reno. They don't seem to be doing too well. I know, the California threat, times are tough all over... Still, you'd think it would be good for business to treat the locals a little better.
