I will always remember my first gradeschool intoduction to "Texan" in 4th grade when my teacher proudly announced, "Yall put up yo'r crayolas". I was bumfuzzled to say the least as I was actually born in Brooklyn. The whole concept of "Putting things up" was new to me, not to mention all those new colors in the "Crayola" (Crayons to the rest of the world) box. In Texas they have Yeller and Oorange ones. I think I heard someone a long time sum it up in a single sentance. Texas is the only state in the nation where "I tell you what" is a complete sentance.
