The cards are recycled into the deck before the next "throw". Similar to the continuous shufflers used in BJ. I guess it simulates randomness.
There's one joker in the deck. It automatically pairs the first card, and pays as a hardway. If the joker comes out first, the deal ends and anyone betting on the joker gets paid 60-1, (a one roll prop like c/e).
The problem is that the shooter controls the dice, here the dealers control the cards. If the table gets hot, I have seen the boxman allow the dealer deal out cards before all bets are paid, to prevent pressing up bets. If the cards are cold, they take their sweet time.
Harrahs in Rincon is suppose to open a table in mid June.
