Re: Ethical? Or Not? That is the Question...

Pete, You are right. That is the ONLY way I could see a problem. One major sticking point with my friend is that I did it once for no charge then why am I now charging AND doing the grant at the same time. First I am charging because I DO incur expenses (900 notes ain't FREE plus a full day of my time) and I AM intitled to charge whatever the market will bear for my services (as long as I don't excees that everythin'g OK). Next, rember it IS my daughter's school and part of my community so it's an oppertunity for me (through my company) to help my community. If you see my other post this is not the only contribution I have made. With or without the grant I will contribute (as soon as I finish this post I am going to the library and donate three new $45 books from Barnes and Noble on currency -as promised to the kids so they can look up their money). So, my contributions are legit. So, why not do the SMART thing and drag in some company funds, they are (by the companies on rules) qualified. Plus, the school can always use the money, and my company 'Looks Good' to my community.

I think my friend felt that this was colusion with the school of some sort. They offered to pay (and knew how much) before I later suggested grant money.

My friend has been convinced, it's OK, and not a scam, colusion, or otherwise decieteful.
