From AP June 4. 2003 Denver Co. Three Co. Div. of Gaming workers have left their jobs after accusations they operated their own casino chip-collecting business, a potential conflict for officials who over-see chip and token production. The Jefferson county District Attorney's Office will issue a report on the matter within a week. KCNC-TV Denver reported the men allegedly bought and sold chips with collectors.Collectors buy, trade and sell casino chips based on the monetary or artistic value, said Dick Brach, president of the Atlantic City chapter of CCGTCC which has 2400 members. Rarity drives the price, rarity and quality, Brach said. If a chip has significant value, there's always the possibility that more can be found---- Question, What dose this kind of publicy do for our hobby? How much of this is going on in other states?
