Byron 'Cowboy' Wolford passed away in Dallas TX. last month. What a great guy, played many hours of poker with him at Ocean's Eleven card club in Oceanside Ca. He always had time to talk and tell stories. He made a tape for a few of us 1 hr. long on poker tips I listened to it 20 times and learned a lot. Also, have his book signed at the club. He was ill and wanted to move back to Texas, his home, to live the rest of his life, he left about the time I moved to Co. A truly great guy, humble and easy to talk to with a fast wit. Also, had a great sweet wife who made all he overalls, which he always had on.It brings tears to eyes thinking of him. He helped Benny Binion bring the National Rodeo to Vegas from Okla. City. A Rodeo and Poker Chanmpion who rode and played with all the great's.
