Pete, when I price an item, I take all the cost in consideration. All the ebay fees, paper, staples, flips, tape, time, energy, gas, wear and tear and depreciation on the car and all the other garbage should be added to to cost of the chip--not the shipping charges.
I calculate all the stuff to cost me about $1.00 which is what I charge--if I charge anything. I try to get as much as I can for the item, but I will not gauge anyone by excess shipping charges nor will I even bid on an item by any one who does so.
I hope you realize that by charging these excessive shipping charges, you are not giving ebay their due amount as they don't include shipping as part of their charges.
Sorry , but I don't agree with you or anyone else who charges over a $1.00 per package or actual postage only charges.
But as we all see, there are many buyers who don't mind paying extra, whatever a seller wants to tack on. If you feel the extra $0.50¢ enhances your profitability in the long run, then fine and dandy with me.
If some of you on this board have even wondered why you have never received a bid from me, you now know the answer. If you have not wondered, then my point is moot.
