A couple of years ago the casino was running low on $1 chips and they ordered brand new ones, exactly like the originals (I have no idea how many they ordered). The chip on the left is one of those new chips. The chip on the right has evidently been in play quite awhile. I thought maybe it had been out in the sun too long or something, but it's missing the yellow ink on both sides of the chip. It's the only one I've seen like that at that casino.
